rof. Nonita C. Marte is a specialist in Values Education.

She is a product of the MA program in Values Education at the Philippine Normal University. After obtaining her CTP (Certificate of Teaching), she worked as a Teacher and Coordinator of Values Education at Malate Catholic School before teaching at PNU. She is one of the founding members of Pambansang Samahan Para sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga (PSEP) and Higher Education Association for Values Education National (HEAVEN).She acted as an adviser of the Samahan ng Tagapagpalaganap sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga (STEP) a department based organization for values education majors and students.

She is a demonstration teacher in Values Education for both national and international audience. She had been a Supervising Instructor for Values Education interns and a regular reviewer for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. She has conducted seminars in many parts of the country.

She has attended a series of seminars and conferences in Values Education both here and abroad, namely the International Conference for Values Education in Hong Kong and CHARACTER COUNTS! in Los Angeles, California. She also attended the Online Learning Conference and Expo in Los Angeles, CA which aimed to develop and implement e-learning and the Hollywood Education and Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.) training in Hollywood, CA designed to teach literacy and competency through tutoring and mentoring people of all ages.

She recently attended seminars on Empowering Learners through Higher Order Thinking (H.O.T.S.), Understanding Multiple Intelligences, Putting Up A Day Care/Preschool,Teaching with Style and The Seven (7) Laws of the Learner.

She has written Values Education books for elementary, high school and college. She enjoys gathering/collecting websites related to character and values education.

 

Benjamin Isaac G. Marte has earned units toward the M.A. in Values Education at the Philippine Normal University. He holds a Bachelor or Arts -Social Sciences degree from the University of the Philippines in the Visayas and a Certificate in Education (CTP) at the Philippine Normal University. He is one of the founding members of the Pambansang Samahan Para sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga (PSEP)

He has written Character and Values Education books for elementary and high school levels.

He was a Values Training Consultant/Resource Person for the Office of the President – Cooperative Development Authority (1996-1997), conducting Team-Building workshops for CDA Regional Offices. Prior to this, he was a Values Resource Person for the National Bureau of Investigation, conducting Team-Building workshops for the different departments at the Main Office, and new recruits. He was also an Advocacy Assistant/Spokesperson for the Office of the President – Moral Recovery Program, conducting and assisting in moral recovery/values workshops for different government and non-governmental agencies.

He taught Values Education at Malate Catholic School for 4 years and briefly at Philippine Science High School. He has conducted Values Education seminars and demonstration teachings in many parts of the Philippines.

He has just finished a six-year teaching stint as a 5th Grade teacher at St. Francis of Assisi in Los Angeles, Califonia, U.S.A.

While in Los Angeles, he completed a Basic Study Manual Certificate  from the Hollywood Education and Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.) in Hollywood, California, which is designed to teach literacy and competency through tutoring and mentoring people of all ages. He has taken and passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
